Step 8
Step 8: Aside from the display conditions, which tell WordPress where to place the popup, you also need to set the triggers. The trigger settings allow you to create all types of popups. By toggling the switch to the on position, additional options appear.
You can set the popup to appear a certain amount of time after the page loads, or once a user has scrolled to a certain point. You can have a button or section trigger a popup, or you can have a popup appear if the user has been inactive for a set amount of time. You can also have a popup use exit intent technology, which has a popup load when a user moves their mouse to close the page.
To make sure the popup is displayed, set at least one display condition and one trigger per popup. Like with display conditions, make sure your popup triggers aren’t overwhelming and causing too many popups for site visitors.
