Step 8: Once you’ve created a product, you can go to Products > All products to view your item. To see your product in the same way a customer would, hover over the product and select View. This will open the product to show the customer view.  

In the example below, the variation images were not added to the product gallery, so customers only see the main product image and photos of dogs enjoying the bones.

When a customer makes a flavor and size selection, the image set to the variation will appear. Usually, it is best to add the variation images to the product gallery. This lets customers see that there are several options available and see those variations without selecting them. However, is a matter of personal preference whether to add variation images.
