In Progress
Sections
Dashboard Section:
- Home: Provides an overview of your site's recent activity, including recent posts, comments, and a quick draft feature to jot down post ideas.
- Updates: Displays information about available updates for WordPress, themes, and plugins. This section is essential for keeping your site up-to-date and secure.
Content Management Section:
- Posts: Used to manage blog posts. You can view, add, edit, and categorize posts, as well as manage tags and categories.
- Media: Navigates to the Media Library where you can upload, manage, and organize images, videos, and other media files.
- Pages: Similar to Posts, but used to create pages that seldom change, like "About" or "Home." You can add, edit, and delete pages.
Site Design and Appearance Section:
- Appearance: Includes options to manage themes, customize your site's appearance, edit menus, and add widgets.
- Plugins: Allows you to manage and update installed plugins, add new plugins, or deactivate existing ones. Plugins add new features or extend existing functionality on your WordPress site.
Site Management Section:
- Users: Used to manage user accounts and permissions. You can add new users, edit existing profiles, and assign roles to control access to different features.
- Tools: Important, but seldom used site management tools. These include Import/Export, Categories and Tags Converter, Plugin and Theme editors and the Site Health Tool.
- Settings: This section is where you control fundamental backend site settings, including general site settings and discussion settings for comments and user interactions. While most of the Main Navigation Menu is concerned with frontend design, the Settings Menu has the backend settings that a WordPress Administrator should be familiar with.
