Lesson 1, Topic 1

Reducing HTTP Requests
Every time someone visits your website, their browser makes requests to load different elements like images, scripts, and stylesheets. The more requests your site has to make, the longer it will take to load. Reducing HTTP requests can speed up your site by combining or removing unnecessary elements.
Many caching and optimization plugins automatically combine multiple CSS or JavaScript files into one, reducing the number of requests the browser has to make. Furthermore, each plugin on your website might add extra files that need to load, so review your plugins and remove any that aren’t necessary.
