Patterns
Patterns: As covered in the WordPress Essentials curriculum, patterns are premade template sections to help improve your page design. When you press the plus sign to add a block, select Patterns instead. Then navigate to the WooCommerce patterns and there will be several pages worth of pre-designed sections you can add to your page. You can change the colors, images, and text for any of the patterns by opening List View then selecting the block you want to edit and make changes in the settings/styles panel.

As you create your home page, experiment with a blend of design blocks (columns, groups, rows, stacks), static blocks (headings, paragraphs, images, etc.), and WooCommerce dynamic blocks covered in this lesson. Instead of just stacking blocks on top of each other, work to create a design that grabs the attention of customers.
Remember, your most important products should be featured at the top of your home page. As customers scroll down, there should be a variety of widgets helping them to find products and browse your store. Not every customer knows exactly what they want, so a strong home page that showcases a variety of products by type, sales, and features will encourage customers to explore the items in your shop and make impulse purchases to increase your profits.

Once you have completed and published your home page, you need to change your WordPress settings to designate the page you created as your home page.
From your dashboard go to Settings > Reading.

Make sure Your homepage displays is set to A static page. Then select your home page from the drop-down list. If you don’t see your home page listed, go to the page and make sure it is published. Press Save Changes once you’ve set your home page.
