Learn Themes Customizations Step 5
Step 5: To access Elementor, you must first create a page. To do this, go to Pages > Add New.

The screen that appears prompts you to add a title for the page. Type in a title where it says Add title. Your title should be short and summarize the page content. This is different than a heading, which can be more descriptive and creative. Headings will be covered in a future unit. Once you’ve added a title press the Publish button in the top right corner. You may need to press it a second time to confirm.

Now that you have created a page and published it, press Edit with Elementor to open the design plugin and begin creating your page.

When Elementor opens, it loads the page and all its content in the main area of the screen. In the example below, you see the header at the top, which includes the logo and tagline. The header is not yet styled, so it doesn’t look the way we will want it to on the final version of the site. Changing the header will be covered in future units.
Under the header is the body of the page, with the title listed. In the example, it says Cats. There is nothing else on the body of the page since no content has been added. The body of the page is where you will add unique content for each page on your website. Note that in the example below, while the body of the page has nothing but the page title, there is a Plus sign to add blocks and content. Building the body of your page will be covered in future units.
You should also see the footer at the bottom of the page, which in the example below contains the logo and tagline. Instructions for how to style the footer is covered in future units.
The left side of the screen is where you will use the Elementor plugin to design your site and its pages. More details will be covered in future units to go over the complete Elementor interface and each button, but for now we will focus on setting styles for your website.
